The moment I stepped into the dining room of the pack, this wonderful scent caught me. It's lavender with the scent of snow. Adellee!

I must admit that she's not bad for my taste. She’s tall with a Goddess body. With those blue eyes, I almost forgot that I hate her. I hate this stupid freaking contract.

Who the hell sets two wolves to be one’s mate? They know that Moon Goddess gives us a potential mate. Why the hell would they push the youngsters to mate, if they are not supposed to be mates?

When she got mad about what Jane said, I get mad. None of this would happen if her ancestors did not ask for any help from my ancestors. If they work those things on their own. None of this would happen. I will not be forced to marry a total stranger, especially when I already promised my heart to someone else.

When I see how Jaxson looks at Adellee, I get mad. I’m too focused on my feelings until I realize what it is. My wolf is attracted to Adellee. I don’t know how but he actually wants the idea of being her mate, not to mention that she doesn’t have a wolf of her own. She’s just special because she's a healer.

‘Accept her. She'll be a good mate,’ Forest, my wolf.

As I see Jaxson looking at her, Forest can’t stop pacing inside my head. I shout at him to shut up and calm down but he wants Jaxson to stop. After I said harsh things to her, she went back to her room.

The following day, I saw her on the training ground because Connor, my Second Beta, informed me that Adellee will be training with them. I didn’t agree with him, but I also want to see her fight. His father told me that she is the best fighter in their pack even though she doesn’t have any wolves yet.

I saw how she moves swiftly, toying one of our best fighters, Mark. She's fast and strong. She's the first born, so I think most of her strength came from her father's alpha genes. I wonder why she doesn’t have a wolf? Her father told me that she’s a late bloomer but she’s nineteen now and yet, her wolf doesn’t show any sign.

Impressive!

That's all I can say.

At dinner time, I can feel the tension between Jaxson and Adellee. I don’t know what happened but my wolf was irritated. I lost my appetite and left them. That's the reason why I told her to sleep in my room. I know she will protest but she doesn’t have a choice.

She doesn’t want to anger my wolf. He is very possessive.

I waited in my room for almost two hours. She must be here by now. I stand and go to her room. I dragged her here and told her to sleep in my bed. I can’t sleep like this if my wolf doesn’t stop pacing back and forth in my head.

It feels weird that I feel too hot beside her and I can hear her heartbeats go faster and faster! I can’t even sleep. Part of me wanted to touch her and feel her next to me. This is embarrassing! This is a wrong idea. Sleeping next to her is a bad decision.

After so much effort, I finally fell asleep. When I woke up this morning, I found her hugging me and at the same time I cuddled her too. I was lost for words when I saw her angelic face. She looks very beautiful when she's sleeping. I slowly put away the hair that fell to her face and started touching her cheeks. She doesn’t move or wake up.

I got up and started my daily workout. I ordered Carrie to bring Adellee food but when I came back to check on her, I saw how she was happy eating with a servant. I got angry and told her and Carrie that they are not supposed to eat with each other. Servants must know their places in my pack.

‘You must learn to accept that she's also an Alpha female.’ Forest, my wolf said.

I sprinted out of my room and went to my office. I have a lot of things to do and I need to introduce her to my pack. Got a lot of things to do because of that SnowMoon girl!

"Kayden, I already finished my patrol and we got a report about seeing rogues in our perimeter." Jaxson reported to me.

"What do you mean Jax?”

“Davis and Mark were patrolling in the north and east side of our pack when they caught a rogue scent. Though it’s not entering our territory but it's alerting that they are staying outside our perimeter." Jaxson said

“Form a team to investigate that, and I need you to conduct a party for Adellee. We need to properly introduce her to the pack." I said,

"No problem, do I need to call Loui for this? You know, she’s good at coordinating a party." He smirked knowing the girl who is one of the servants in the castle got a one night stand with me.

“If that pleases you. I don't care who will take care of it. Just make sure that it will be a good party." I said.

"Good party? Want to impress the snow princess?” He said while smirking at me.

"Stop smirking at me Jaxson. If you like Adellee, well... I'm sorry dude she's now mine." I said to him, feeling my wolf irritation.

"Hey man, I’m not taking her away from you. Getting possessive now." Jaxson said. 

"It's not me, it's my wolf. So, stop teasing me and stop flirting with Adellee." I said

"Okay man. Calm down. I'll go now to do my duty." He said while laughing.

I almost threw my desk at him. For a First Beta, he is very childish.

Wait?

Why am I getting angry because of that girl? This possessiveness from my wolf towards Adellee is alarming me. I didn't expect my wolf to have a connection with Adellee so easily. Does that mean???? No! It's impossible...

She can't be my potential mate..
