I woke up early in the morning by a continuous knock on my door. I slowly stand up and walk into the door and open it. A girl who wears a maid’s clothes smiles at me politely.

“Good morning, Lady Adellee, I am Carrie and I will be your personal maid while you're staying here. I came here to tell you that Second Beta Connor wants to inform you that he is expecting you at the training field today.” She bowed slightly to me.

"Don’t do that." I said.

"Don’t do what Lady?" She looked frightened.

"Don’t bow your head to me, I feel like I'm living in the 500th century and just call me Adellee." I said laughing slightly.

"B-But Lady Adellee, Alpha Kayden will punish me if I do that." Carrie said.

“Okay." I said.

She smiled back at me and excused herself after I said that I don’t need anything as of now and promised to call her when I needed her.

I still can’t believe that, that bastard said those words to me! He said it like it’s nothing. I feel my anger return.

I took a short shower and changed into a sports shorts bra. I know it's hot outside, I want to try to have tan skin since I am so white compared to the people here.

I jogged my way to the training field until I stopped beside a very shocked Connor. I clear my throat to bring his senses back. My skin shines under the morning sun. I came from SnowMoon and it's natural to have smooth white skin.

“Wow Lady Adellee, I didn’t expect how sexy you are in those clothes." He said, smirking at me.

He being tall and cocky makes me laugh.

“So? What will you teach me today?” I asked

He smiles and his facial expression changes into a serious one.

“For starters, since you can’t shift into your wolf, I want to see how strong and fast you are. Mark!" He shouted. One of the men came to us.

“Yes. Second Beta?" Mark said,

“Mark, this is Lady Adellee. I know that you're already informed about her arrival, who and what she is." Connor said Mark slightly bows to me. "It’s nice to meet such a beautiful lady like you, Lady Adellee." He said kissing the back of my hand.

The 1800’s vibes here really make me awkward.

Connor patted Mark's shoulder. "Lady Adellee, you will be sparing with Mark today. We will test your strength, ability and how fast you are." He explained. 

Mark smiled at me. “I’m not going to be easy on you Lady Adellee." He said.

"I wish to fight a man, not a baby." I said.

He laughs at me while following Connor in the sparring ring.

"The only rule here is no shifting. This is to be fair with Lady Adellee. You can’t use your claws Mark." Connor said."I’lI be watching you guys.” He said.

"Don’t worry about me, big guy. I'm very used to this." I said, smirking at him. Though he’s not saying it, he’s afraid that they may hurt me. They are wrong if they think that my father spoon fed me in training. My dad teaches me everything he knows in combat. He kicked my ass so many times that I almost questioned him if I was his daughter. "Give me a good fight Mark."

Without any words Mark attacked me. He punches me in the right shoulder but I dodge it. We exchange punches but he can’t hit me in the right places that he aims for. I caught his right arm and twisted it. I hear some bone cracking and I smirk.

He stepped backwards and caught himself before he fell on the ground. "Mark, don’t play baby now." I said.

He stands up and attacks me again. He kicks and punches me but I dodge it all. "Is that all you can Mark?” I said playing him. I kicked his leg and he fell again. I stop and look around. Everyone stops on their tracks and watches us. I look back at Mark and I can’t lose my focus.

He stands up and for a moment he partially shifts into his wolf form. His claws extended and canines showing. I'm not surprised by this, I am ready.

"Mark!” Connor shouted.

But Mark is too focused on me and his ego that I cracked. He moves so fast and claws my arm, I didn’t move and let his claw touch my skin. I want to know what Connor’s reaction is. Blood is now flowing in my right arm but I ignore it. I can heal it on my own. I focus on Mark and I do the spinning kick that hits him in the head. He falls again but now I jump into his back and hold his neck. "Give up and I'll let you go." I said.

He pushes me but I punch both his arms and shoulder and hold his neck again. "Give up!" I shouted.

"I-I give up." He said catching his breath when I let go of him.

Connor smiles at me. He gestures at the front door of the pack house. There is Jaxson and the devil in disguise watching me.

He looks at me amused. I just glared at him and helped Mark to stand up. patted his back and the crowd cheered for us. I smile to him while they keep saying that it’s a good fight,

"That’s not bad at all." Connor said.

"Yes, not bad." I said.

"I can see that you are well trained in your pack. You're fast and strong." He said.

"Perks of having an Alpha father." I said.

“I think you better stitch those wounds.” He said, looking into my arms. 

“I’m a healer, don’t worry about it." I said.

“Okay. That's for today, I think Alpha Kayden will have fun watching you." He said giving me a bottle of water.

"I don’t want to think about it. He doesn’t talk to me about anything. Even this stupid arrangement. And I’m really pissed off right now because of what he said to me yesterday." I said.

"He is not an easy person to handle but believe me, if you get close to him, you will not want to lose him.” He said.

I laugh. “Are you gay?” I asked.

“Would you like me to continue what Mark failed to do?" He warned me but hints at a joke about it.

“No big guy, I'm fine for today.” I said before I excuse myself. I return to my room and take a long refreshing shower until Carrie brings me food for breakfast and tells me that Kayden wants to talk to me in his office before lunch.

What does he want now?
